Maiya Caldwell
Maiya Caldwell is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a BFA in Dance where she studied modern, jazz, ballet, and African dance forms. She is native to the greater Cincinnati Area, where she works on theatre and dance productions. She recently returned from a study abroad experience in South Korea, where she spent the summer studying music and dance in the capital, Seoul. Maiya currently choreographs for the Fairfield High School Drama Department, Fairfield Show Choirs, and other Youth and High school Theatre programs in the area.

Claire Dieringer
Claire Dieringer is a 2016 graduate of Kent State University, from which she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Magna Cum Laude. Claire also studied at American Dance Festival in Durham, North Carolina with numerous teachers in multiple styles from all over the world. Claire has worked professionally as the Director of the Dance Program at Lake Bryn Mawr Camp in Pennsylvania. In 2017, Claire joined Mutual Dance Theatre (when it was MamLuft&Co. Dance) after training in New York. She was hired full-time as the organization’s Education and Outreach Coordinator and now holds the role of Studio Director and Programs Manager. She recently performed in Géographie, a multi-week installation by French choreographers Annie Vigier and Franck Apertet (les gens d’Uterpan) at the Contemporary Arts Center, as well as in the Area Choreographers Festival (Contemporary Dance Theater).

Ashley Morton
Ashley is a Cincinnati based performance artist. She can be found on various local stages performing with The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Landmark Productions, among others. When Ashley is not on the proscenium stage, she is working with Pones or InBocca Performance, making sight-specific and devised works. Ashley has danced everywhere from the Jarson-Kaplan, to the Contemporary Art Center. The more non conventional, the better!

Lavette Patterson
Lavette was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. She grew up dancing and performing in her hometown of Fairfield where she has received intensive dance training at the Dance Company.
She recently graduated with a BFA in Dance at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) with a focus in Black Studies.
Lavette has danced in many performances across the nation such as Big Muddy Dance Festival, Walt Disneys Performing Arts Showcase, LA’s Dance Experience, and the American College Dance Association. Lavette’s recent performances include NKU’s Emerging Choreographers Showcase, Cincinnati Area Contemporary Arts Festival, and NKU’s Dance’22. She has also been involved in many campus organizations and dance groups including, E.N.V.I -NKU’s Hip Hop Dance Team, Metanoija Dance Company, Black Studies Scholarship Ambassador, and Mourning the Creation of Racial Categories.

Teresa VanDenend Sorge
Teresa VanDenend Sorge, EdM is a dancer, dance educator and Founding Director of Koresh Kids Dance. An outreach initiative of Koresh Dance Company, Koresh Kids Dance serves nearly 500 Philadelphia public school children each week. For nearly a decade she was a full-time lecturer at
Muhlenberg College in the department of Theatre and Dance specializing in dance education and developing a dance education laboratory. She remains a part time lecturer at Sydney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia using creative dance and choreographic practices to encourage empathy and kinesthetic awareness for medical students. Teresa recently moved to Cincinnati where she teaches dance at NKU and Miami Valley Ballet Theatre. Teresa’s choreography and scholarship has been shared at multiple venues and in many community settings, including the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, The Cincinnati Art Museum, the Mayo Clinic, Northern Kentucky University, National Guild for Community Arts Education, Arts and Literacy Conference at UPenn, National Dance Education Organization annual conference. Teresa attended Anne Green Gilbert’s SDIT, as well as the Institute for Restorative Arts with Buildabridge International, where she served as teaching faculty and Artist on Call. Teresa holds a Master of Education in Dance degree from Temple University. She is a 2023 candidate for Master of Fine Arts in Dance at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
